About The Baylor Project
The Baylor Project is an American jazz and soul ensemble led by vocalist Jean Baylor and drummer Marcus Baylor. The married musicians draw on jazz, gospel and R&B traditions; their albums The Journey and Generations earned Grammy nominations and established the partnership’s recorded repertoire.
The Evening: Live at APPARATUS documented the ensemble’s concert format, centered on Jean Baylor’s vocals and Marcus Baylor’s drumming with a supporting jazz group. Their performance history also includes appearances at the Monterey Jazz Festival and Newport Jazz Festival.
