About The Beautiful Girls
The Beautiful Girls are an Australian band formed in Sydney in 2001 by singer-songwriter Mat McHugh. Their acoustic rock draws on reggae, folk and surf music, and they are known for songs including “La Mar,” “Music” and “Periscopes,” as well as the albums Learn Yourself and We're Already Gone.
The Beautiful Girls toured Australia behind those early records before taking their live show through North America, Europe and Japan. Their festival history at home included performances at Splendour in the Grass and Bluesfest in Byron Bay.
