The Boo Radleys in Leeds

The Boo Radleys are an English alternative rock band formed in Wallasey in 1988. Their early records drew on shoegaze and psychedelic rock before the group moved toward brighter guitar pop. They are best known for the album Giant Steps and for “Wake Up Boo!”, the lead single from Wake Up!; later releases included C’mon Kids and Kingsize. In 1995, The Boo Radleys played Glastonbury Festival and Reading Festival during the touring cycle for Wake Up!. They continued performing through the release of Kingsize before splitting in 1999. After the band re-formed without principal songwriter Martin Carr, Sice, Tim Brown and Rob Cieka made up the lineup that returned to British stages.
