The Bridge City Sinners in Vancouver

The Bridge City Sinners are an American folk-punk band formed in Portland, Oregon, in 2016. Their dark acoustic music draws on old-time country, bluegrass and punk, and the group is known for songs including “Devil Like You,” “Song of the Siren” and “Witches’ Wrath,” as well as the albums Here’s to the Devil, Unholy Hymns and In the Age of Doubt. The group began by busking, then took its fiddle, banjo, upright bass, guitar and resonator-guitar lineup into clubs and on tours through the United States and Europe. The Bridge City Sinners have also performed at Muddy Roots Music Festival and Punk Rock Bowling.

Riley Downing is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Missouri who plays country, soul and folk-rooted Americana. He is known as a member of The Deslondes and for his solo debut album Start It Over, which includes “Deep Breath,” “I’m Not Ready” and “Coleman Rose.” Riley Downing spent years touring as a singer and guitarist with The Deslondes before playing under his own name. Following Start It Over, his solo work reached clubs and small theatres in the United States and Europe, where the performances centered on his voice, guitar and songs from the record. That format retained the role he had established on the road with The Deslondes.
