The Buckinghams in Edwardsville

The Buckinghams are an American pop-rock band formed in Chicago in 1965. Their brass and orchestral arrangements became a hallmark of late-1960s hits including “Kind of a Drag,” “Don't You Care,” “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy,” “Hey Baby (They're Playing Our Song)” and “Susan.” In 1967, The Buckinghams performed on national television programs including The Ed Sullivan Show and American Bandstand. After re-forming in 1980, they returned to the concert circuit and later toured with The Turtles and The Grass Roots as part of the Happy Together Tour.
