The Builders and The Butchers in Atlanta

The Builders and The Butchers are an American folk-rock band formed in Oregon in 2005. Their music draws on dark Americana, folk punk and alt-country, led by Ryan Sollee’s vocals and songs including “Bottom of the Lake” and “Bringin’ Home the Rain.” Key albums include The Builders and the Butchers, Salvation Is a Deep Dark Well and Dead Reckoning. The band began by playing house shows and street performances in Portland, sometimes setting up outside other concerts. It later carried its percussion-heavy full-band set into clubs and theatres on tours through North America and Europe, including dates supporting Murder by Death.
