About The Burning Hell
The Burning Hell is a Canadian indie-folk band formed in Peterborough, Ontario, in 2006 around songwriter Mathias Kom. Deadpan storytelling and elements of anti-folk and indie rock run through albums including People, Public Library and Garbage Island, as well as the song “Fuck the Government, I Love You.”
In 2012, the group played ten concerts in ten countries within 24 hours as a world-record attempt. The Burning Hell has otherwise toured extensively through clubs and small theatres in Canada, Britain and continental Europe; fellow Canadian songwriter Wax Mannequin joined the group for the ten-country undertaking.
