The Courteeners are an English indie-rock band formed in Middleton in 2006. Led by singer and songwriter Liam Fray, they are known for their debut album, St. Jude, and songs including “Not Nineteen Forever,” “What Took You So Long?” and “Are You in Love with a Notion?” In 2015, The Courteeners headlined Heaton Park for the first time. They returned there in 2019 and again in 2023, when the set celebrated the fifteenth anniversary of St. Jude. The band has headlined Manchester Arena and performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Its festival history also includes appearances at Reading Festival and Leeds Festival.
The Lathums are an English indie-rock band formed in Wigan in 2018. Led by singer and songwriter Alex Moore, they became known through songs including “The Great Escape,” “How Beautiful Life Can Be” and “Say My Name,” while the albums How Beautiful Life Can Be and From Nothing to a Little Bit More both reached number one in the UK. In 2022, The Lathums supported The Killers on dates of their UK and Ireland stadium tour. The following year, their own headline tour reached AO Arena in Manchester before they performed at Glastonbury Festival that summer.
