The Frights are an American surf-punk band formed in San Diego in 2012. Their garage-rock attack and melodic hooks took shape on the self-titled debut and the albums You Are Going to Hate This and Hypochondriac, while songs including “Tungs” and “Crust Bucket” became central entries in their catalogue. Live at the Observatory documented the band at The Observatory North Park in 2016, capturing the guitar, bass and drums lineup in its home territory. The Frights later brought that full-band format to the 2019 edition of Coachella.
