The Futureheads are a British band formed in Sunderland in 2000. They play angular post-punk and new-wave guitar rock shaped by close four-part vocals, and are known for “Decent Days and Nights” and their arrangement of Kate Bush’s “Hounds of Love.” Their early records include the self-titled The Futureheads and News and Tributes. The 2005 NME Awards Tour took the band around Britain with The Killers, Bloc Party and Kaiser Chiefs. Appearances at Glastonbury and the Reading and Leeds Festivals followed as their catalogue expanded. After beginning a hiatus in 2013, the group returned to the stage in 2018, restoring the guitar-band lineup led by Barry Hyde and Ross Millard.
