The Goddamn Gallows in Chicago

The Goddamn Gallows are an American band formed in Lansing, Michigan, in 2004. They play punk-charged roots music shaped by psychobilly, country and bluegrass, using banjo and upright bass alongside electric guitar and drums. Their best-known releases include 7 Devils, The Maker and The Trial, home to songs such as “Y’all Motherfuckers Need Jesus.” The Goddamn Gallows began by traveling with their equipment and playing squats, house shows and small clubs around the United States. They later toured Europe and moved onto punk and roots-festival programs while retaining their full-band setup. In Tennessee, they made repeated appearances at Muddy Roots Music Festival.
