The Herbaliser is a British hip-hop and electronic duo formed in London by Jake Wherry and Ollie Teeba. Their sample-based instrumentals draw on funk, jazz and cinematic soundtracks; releases for Ninja Tune include Remedies, Blow Your Headphones, Very Mercenary and Something Wicked This Way Comes. In 1999, The Herbaliser formed an eight-piece band to perform its music live. The ensemble’s instrumental arrangements were documented on Session One and later Session Two, and the band also performed at Glastonbury Festival and Montreux Jazz Festival.
