The Hip Abduction in Jupiter

The Hip Abduction is an American band formed in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 2010. Its music draws on reggae rock, dub, indie rock and West African rhythms, heard on albums including The Hip Abduction and Gold Under the Glow and songs such as “Come On Get Up,” “Higher” and “All I Need.” In 2015, The Hip Abduction performed at Shaky Knees in Atlanta and Lollapalooza in Chicago. The band presents its material with a full ensemble that includes guitars, bass, drums, keyboards and saxophone, a format heard well beyond its St. Petersburg base at Lollapalooza.
