The Isley Brothers in Las Vegas

The Isley Brothers are an American soul, R&B and funk group formed in Cincinnati in 1954 by brothers Ronald, O’Kelly and Rudolph Isley. They first recorded as a vocal trio and became known through songs including “Shout,” “Twist and Shout,” “This Old Heart of Mine,” “It’s Your Thing,” “That Lady” and “Between the Sheets.” The albums 3 + 3 and The Heat Is On document the group’s expansion into guitar-driven funk and rock. During their Motown years, The Isley Brothers toured as part of the Motortown Revue. A 1969 performance was released as Live at Yankee Stadium, preserving the group at the point when “It’s Your Thing” had become central to its repertoire. Later lineups led by Ronald Isley and Ernie Isley have performed songs from across the catalog in theatres, casinos, arenas and at festivals. The group plays primarily in the United States and has made repeated concert visits to the United Kingdom.
