The Macc Lads are an English comedy-punk band formed in Macclesfield in 1981. Their fast, blunt punk rock is built around deliberately crude songs about beer, sex and working-class life, including “Sweaty Betty,” “No Sheep ’Til Buxton” and “Beer & Sex & Chips n Gravy.” The live album Live at Leeds (The Who?) captured the group during its original run of club and theatre shows. After disbanding in 1995, The Macc Lads reunited in 2018 and returned to British stages for dates including Manchester and London.
