The Meteors in Nuneaton

The Meteors are an English band formed in London in 1980 and closely associated with the creation of psychobilly. They play fast rockabilly driven by punk rhythms and horror imagery, heard on albums including In Heaven and Wreckin’ Crew and songs such as “Graveyard Stomp” and “Radioactive Kid.” The Meteors played their first concert at the Sparrow Hawk in 1980. They soon became part of the early Klub Foot scene, and their 1983 performance at the Hellfire Club was documented on The Meteors Live. The band performs as a guitar, bass and drums trio led by singer and guitarist P. Paul Fenech, the constant member throughout its lineup changes.
