About The Panhandlers
The Panhandlers is an American country supergroup formed by Texas singer-songwriters Josh Abbott, John Baumann, William Clark Green and Flatland Cavalry frontman Cleto Cordero. The group plays neo-traditional country and Red Dirt rooted in West Texas, and its records include the self-titled debut and Tough Country. “West Texas in My Eye,” “No Handle” and “Tough Country” are among its best-known songs.
The Tough Country Tour took the quartet’s shared-frontman setup to clubs, theatres and outdoor stages beyond West Texas. A full band supported rotating lead vocals, and each set gave Josh Abbott, John Baumann, William Clark Green and Cleto Cordero time at the microphone.
