About the pillows
the pillows were a Japanese alternative-rock band formed in 1989. Their guitar-led songs reached listeners beyond Japan through the soundtrack to the anime series FLCL, which featured recordings including “Ride on Shooting Star,” “Funny Bunny” and “Hybrid Rainbow.” Albums such as Little Busters and Happy Bivouac are central to their catalogue.
In 2005, the pillows made their first concert trip to the United States, performing at South by Southwest and touring several American cities. They marked their 20th anniversary with a 2009 concert at Nippon Budokan, then celebrated 30 years as a band at Yokohama Arena in 2019.
