The Rubens in Brunswick Heads

The Rubens are an Australian alternative-rock band formed in Menangle, New South Wales, in 2011. Their self-titled debut featured “My Gun,” while “Hoops” topped Triple J’s Hottest 100 for 2015 and became their signature song. Later releases included the albums Lo La Ru and 0202, as well as the single “Live in Life.” The Rubens opened Australian arena dates for Pink on The Truth About Love Tour and later supported Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band during their 2014 Australian tour. The band went on to mount national headline tours around Hoops and 0202, and performed at festivals including Splendour in the Grass.
