About The Slow Readers Club
The Slow Readers Club are a British band formed in Manchester in 2009. Their guitar-led indie rock and post-punk is represented by albums including Cavalcade, Build a Tower and The Joy of the Return, and by songs such as “Plant the Seed,” “Lunatic” and “You Opened Up My Heart.”
In 2016, the band supported James on the Girl at the End of the World tour. Their own touring expanded around Build a Tower, leading to a hometown headline show at Manchester’s O2 Apollo in December 2018.
