The Starting Line is an American pop-punk band formed in Churchville, Pennsylvania, in 1999. The group became known through the album Say It Like You Mean It and songs including “The Best of Me,” “Leaving” and “Given the Chance,” followed by the albums Based on a True Story and Direction. The Starting Line played multiple editions of the Vans Warped Tour during the 2000s, then gave its final performance before a hiatus at The Bamboozle in 2008. The band reunited for shows in 2011 and later performed anniversary concerts built around Say It Like You Mean It, as well as recurring holiday concerts in Philadelphia.
Aaron West and The Roaring Twenties is an American indie-rock and folk project created in 2014 by Dan Campbell, vocalist of The Wonder Years. Campbell writes and performs as the fictional Aaron West, whose story unfolds through the albums We Don’t Have Each Other, Routine Maintenance and In Lieu of Flowers. The songs draw on Americana and heartland rock while maintaining a continuous narrative about loss, family and recovery. In 2014, Campbell began presenting the project onstage through acoustic performances tied to its debut record. Later tours expanded the arrangements into full-band sets, and the 2024 In Lieu of Flowers Tour brought that format to clubs and theatres in North America and the United Kingdom. At those shows, the Roaring Twenties supported the character-driven lead performance of Dan Campbell.
