Artists
The Strokes are an American rock band formed in New York City in 1998. Their taut garage rock and post-punk sound became widely known through the debut album Is This It and songs including “Last Nite,” “Someday” and “Reptilia.” Early club performances at Mercury Lounge preceded a 2002 concert at Radio City Music Hall featuring the band and the White Stripes. The Strokes later headlined Governors Ball in 2014, then joined Red Hot Chili Peppers for selected dates on the Global Stadium Tour in 2022. The band has performed far beyond its home city, reaching Fuji Rock in Niigata Prefecture. In Buenos Aires, it has also played Lollapalooza Argentina.
Beach House are an American dream-pop duo formed in Baltimore in 2004 by Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally. They are known for albums including Teen Dream, Bloom and Depression Cherry, as well as songs such as “Zebra,” “Myth” and “Space Song.” In 2016, Beach House created the Installation Shows, a run of seated performances in galleries and art spaces. They later took the Once Twice Melody Tour through North America and Europe in 2022, including a performance at Primavera Sound in Barcelona. The United States has been the center of much of their touring, including repeated headline concerts in New York and Los Angeles. British tours have also returned to London.
