The Tubs in Cleveland Heights

The Tubs are a British indie-rock band led by singer-guitarist Owen Williams and guitarist George Nicholls, both formerly of Joanna Gruesome. Their jangling, folk-tinged guitar music is captured on the albums Dead Meat and Cotton Crown, and in songs including “Sniveller,” “Round the Bend” and “Freak Mode.” After Dead Meat was released in 2023, The Tubs took the album on club tours in Britain and North America. Shows around Cotton Crown followed in 2025, retaining the group’s full-band guitar format and placing the vocals of Owen Williams at the centre.
