The Wannadies are a Swedish alternative rock and power-pop band formed in Skellefteå in 1988. They are best known for “You and Me Song,” “Hit” and “Might Be Stars,” while the albums Be a Girl and Bagsy Me established their guitar-led pop sound. Throughout the 1990s, The Wannadies toured Britain around the releases of Be a Girl and Bagsy Me, playing clubs, theatres and festivals. Their return to UK touring brought them to venues including Scala in London and King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow.
