About The Warlocks
The Warlocks are an American psychedelic rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1998 by singer and guitarist Bobby Hecksher. Droning guitars, garage-rock rhythms and shoegaze textures shape albums including Rise and Fall, Phoenix, Surgery and The Mirror Explodes; “Shake the Dope Out” and “Hurricane Heart Attack” are among their best-known songs.
The Warlocks toured North America and Europe behind Phoenix, and later played dates with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the Brian Jonestown Massacre and the Raveonettes. Further club tours followed The Mirror Explodes and Skull Worship. Their concert lineup has often featured several guitarists and two drummers around Bobby Hecksher.
