Thylacine is the recording name of French electronic producer and saxophonist William Rezé. He is known for melodic, rhythm-led pieces including “Piany Pianino” and “Anatolia,” and for the album Transsiberian, recorded during a journey on the Trans-Siberian Railway. The travel-based ROADS projects and the classical reworkings of Timeless extended that approach. The Transsiberian concerts brought synthesizers, keyboards and live saxophone together with films made during the railway journey. Later performances incorporated material from ROADS, while headline productions reached the Olympia in Paris and the Zénith.
