Tiago Bettencourt in Guimarães

Tiago Bettencourt is a Portuguese singer-songwriter and musician, born in Coimbra in 1979. He first became known as the lead singer of the alternative-rock band Toranja, whose songs include “Carta” and “Laços,” before recording solo albums such as “O Jardim,” “Em Fuga” and “Do Princípio.” Tiago Bettencourt began presenting his solo catalogue with the band Mantha after Toranja’s initial run. His concerts feature him on vocals, guitar and piano alongside a backing band, and he has taken that format to major Portuguese rooms including Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon and Coliseu do Porto.
