About Tim Edey
Tim Edey is an English folk musician, singer and composer from Kent, known for his guitar and melodeon playing in Celtic music. His recordings include the solo album Sailing Over the 7th Sea and Wriggle and Writhe with harmonica player Brendan Power. The pair won Best Duo at the 2012 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, where Edey was also named Musician of the Year.
Tim Edey has toured internationally with The Chieftains, including performances at Carnegie Hall, and has also toured with Sharon Shannon. He presents solo concerts built around guitar, melodeon and singing, alongside duo performances with Brendan Power. His festival appearances have included Celtic Connections in Glasgow and Cambridge Folk Festival.
