TODAY IS THE DAY is an American experimental metal band founded by guitarist and vocalist Steve Austin in Nashville in 1992. Its music draws on noise rock, hardcore and extreme metal, and its key records include Supernova, Willpower, Temple of the Morning Star, In the Eyes of God and the double album Sadness Will Prevail. The 2000 live album Live Till You Die documented the band’s stage work following its run of releases for Amphetamine Reptile and Relapse Records. A second concert document followed in 2002, Blue Blood.
