Tom Jones in Thackerville

Tom Jones is a Welsh singer born in Treforest in 1940, known for pop, soul, rock and country delivered in a powerful baritone. His signature songs include “It’s Not Unusual,” “What’s New Pussycat?,” “Green, Green Grass of Home,” “Delilah” and “Sex Bomb.” In 1967, he began a long series of Las Vegas engagements that included the Flamingo and Caesars Palace. He later performed at Live Aid at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia in 1985, followed by an appearance at Glastonbury Festival in 1992.
