Tom Morello is an American guitarist, songwriter and singer, born in Harlem in 1964. He is best known as the guitarist for Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, using effects, toggle-switch rhythms and unconventional techniques on songs including “Killing in the Name,” “Bulls on Parade” and “Like a Stone.” His other projects include the Nightwatchman, Prophets of Rage and the solo album The Atlas Underground. In 1993, Tom Morello played the traveling Lollapalooza festival as a member of Rage Against the Machine; when the band reunited, he performed with them at Coachella in 2007. He joined Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band for the High Hopes Tour in 2014, then took Prophets of Rage across North America on the Make America Rage Again Tour in 2016.
