Too Much Joy is an American alternative rock band formed in Scarsdale, New York. Its punchy power pop and sardonic lyrics are heard on albums including Son of Sam I Am, Cereal Killers and Mutiny, as well as songs such as “Crush Story” and “That’s a Lie.”

At a 1990 concert at Club Futura in Hollywood, Florida, members of Too Much Joy were arrested on obscenity charges after performing songs by 2 Live Crew. The band played a farewell concert at Irving Plaza in 1997, then returned for a reunion show at the Knitting Factory in 2007.
