About Trans-Canada Highwaymen
Trans-Canada Highwaymen are a Canadian rock supergroup formed in 2016 by Steven Page of Barenaked Ladies, Chris Murphy of Sloan, Craig Northey of Odds and Moe Berg of The Pursuit of Happiness. The quartet plays power pop and classic rock. Its album Explosive Hits Vol. 1 revisits Canadian radio songs of the late 1960s and 1970s, including “Pretty Lady,” “Undun” and “Lovin’ You Ain’t Easy.”
In 2023, the group took the Explosive Hits Vol. 1 repertoire into Canadian theatres. The four musicians perform as a rock band and rotate lead vocals and instruments, while concert sets also draw on songs associated with their earlier groups. Steven Page, Chris Murphy, Craig Northey and Moe Berg each take lead turns on material from those catalogues.
