Truck Stop is a German country band formed in Hamburg in 1973. The group became known for country music sung largely in German, including “Ich möcht’ so gern Dave Dudley hör’n,” “Der wilde, wilde Westen” and “Take It Easy, altes Haus.” Truck Stop performed at Wacken Open Air, bringing its German-language country repertoire to a festival better known for heavy music. In 2023, the band marked its 50th anniversary through concerts presented under the name 50 Jahre Truck Stop across Germany.
