Tyondai Braxton in Los Angeles

Tyondai Braxton is an American composer and electronic musician, born in New York City in 1978. He co-founded the experimental rock group Battles and contributed guitar, keyboards and vocals to the album Mirrored, including the song “Atlas.” His solo work includes the orchestral album Central Market and the electronic compositions of HIVE1. In 2009, he presented Central Market at Alice Tully Hall with the Wordless Music Orchestra. In 2013, the Works & Process series commissioned HIVE, a multimedia performance that premiered in the rotunda of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
