About Ultravox
Ultravox are a British new wave band formed in London in 1974. Their early records featured singer John Foxx and moved between art rock, electronic music and post-punk; after Midge Ure joined, the band became known for synth-pop songs including “Vienna,” “Hymn” and “Dancing with Tears in My Eyes,” and for the albums Vienna, Rage in Eden and Quartet.
The 1982 Monument Tour followed Quartet, and performances at Hammersmith Odeon were documented on the live release Monument. Ultravox later performed at Live Aid at Wembley Stadium in 1985. The core 1980s lineup reunited for the Return to Eden tour in 2009 and toured again following the release of Brilliant.
