About Propaganda

Propaganda are a German synth-pop group formed in Düsseldorf in 1982 by Ralf Dörper. Claudia Brücken, Susanne Freytag and Michael Mertens joined the lineup that recorded the 1985 debut album A Secret Wish, which includes “Dr. Mabuse,” “Duel” and “p:Machinery.”

In 1985, Propaganda performed at ZTT’s The Value of Entertainment showcase at the Ambassadors Theatre in London. Their live lineup was expanded by guitarist Kevin Armstrong, bassist Derek Forbes and drummer Brian McGee, and the group later supported Simple Minds on the Once Upon a Time tour.
