Varius Manx is a Polish pop-rock group formed in Łódź in 1989 by composer Robert Janson. Its best-known recordings include “Zanim zrozumiesz” and “Piosenka księżycowa” with Anita Lipnicka, and “Orła cień” and “Ruchome piaski” with Kasia Stankiewicz. The albums Emu, Elf and Ego established the melodic, female-fronted sound associated with the band. At the 1994 Sopot International Song Festival, Varius Manx performed “Zanim zrozumiesz” at Opera Leśna. Kasia Stankiewicz rejoined the group onstage in 2015 and subsequently returned as its lead singer. The resulting concerts use a full-band format led by Robert Janson, while Kasia Stankiewicz sings material from Emu and Ego.
