About Vera Polozkova
Vera Polozkova is a Russian poet and spoken-word performer, born in Moscow in 1986. She built an early readership through poems published on her LiveJournal blog; her books include Nonpoem Understanding, Photosynthesis and Ostochertchenie.
At Moscow’s Praktika Theatre, Vera Polozkova appeared in the interactive production Society of Anonymous Artists and later brought her own writing to the stage in Poems About Love. The latter production was directed by Eduard Boyakov.
