Versengold in Bad Kissingen

Versengold are a German folk-rock band formed in Bremen in 2003. Their music draws on medieval folk, rock and German-language storytelling; albums including Funkenflug, Nordlicht and Was kost die Welt brought songs such as “Thekenmädchen,” “Wolken” and “Hey Hanna” to a wider audience. The band toured behind Funkenflug in 2017, followed by the Nordlicht tour in 2019 and concerts supporting Was kost die Welt in 2022. Those runs established Versengold in theatres and large concert halls while preserving a strong presence at medieval and rock festivals. Their festival history includes performances at Wacken Open Air and Feuertanz Festival. Versengold have also appeared repeatedly at the traveling Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum.

Mr. Hurley & Die Pulveraffen are a German band formed in Osnabrück in 2009, playing pirate-themed folk rock under the name Grog’n’Roll. Their best-known songs include “Blau wie das Meer,” while albums such as Tortuga, Leviathan and Leuchtturm developed the group’s seafaring characters and heavy folk sound. They play headline dates in clubs and theatres as a costumed full band, carrying the pirate characters from their records onto the stage. Their festival appearances have included Wacken Open Air and Summer Breeze Open Air.
