Vico C in Buenos Aires

Vico C is a Puerto Rican rapper born in Brooklyn in 1971 and raised in Puerto Rico. Known as El Filósofo, he helped establish Spanish-language hip-hop through songs including “La Recta Final,” “Bomba para Afincar” and “Me Acuerdo,” as well as the albums Aquel Que Había Muerto and Emboscada. Vico C performed at Chile’s Viña del Mar International Song Festival in 1999, taking his rap repertoire to one of Latin America’s major televised music events. In 2019, he and Tempo appeared together in concert at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot.
