WaaX in North Avalon

WAAX are an Australian rock band formed in Brisbane in 2012, led by vocalist Maz DeVita. Their music draws on punk, post-punk and alternative rock, and they are known for songs including “Labrador” and “FU,” as well as the albums Big Grief and At Least I’m Free. The Big Grief Tour took WAAX around Australia in 2019 following the release of their debut album. They returned to national headline shows for the At Least I’m Free tour in 2022, adding that record’s material to sets already built around “Labrador” and “FU.” The band have also performed at Australian festivals including Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival.
