Will Varley in Chicago

Will Varley is an English singer-songwriter who plays acoustic folk and folk-punk. His best-known work includes the song “King for a King” and the albums As the Crow Flies, Postcards from Ursa Minor and Kingsdown Sundown. In 2011, he promoted his debut album Advert Soundtracks on a self-organised walking tour along England’s south coast, carrying his guitar between performances. In 2015, he joined Frank Turner’s UK tour supporting Positive Songs for Negative People and performed at Alexandra Palace.

Beans on Toast is the stage name of British folk singer-songwriter Jay McAllister, who comes from Braintree, Essex, and began performing under the name in 2005. His lo-fi acoustic folk and folk-punk songs address politics, relationships and everyday life. He is known for releasing albums on 1 December, his birthday, a tradition that began with Standing on a Chair; his songs include “M.D.M.Amazing” and “The War on War.” Beans on Toast first played Glastonbury Festival in 2007 and has returned many times. Five years later, he opened for Frank Turner at Wembley Arena. He has also performed at both Boomtown Fair and Beautiful Days.
