Yazmin Lacey in London

Yazmin Lacey is a British singer-songwriter, born in London and closely associated with Nottingham, whose music draws on soul, jazz and R&B. After the EPs Black Moon, When the Sun Dips 90 Degrees and Morning Matters, she released her debut album, Voice Notes, in 2023; its songs include “Bad Company,” “Late Night People” and “Pieces.” Her NPR Tiny Desk Concert presented material from Voice Notes in a live-band setting. She has also performed at Glastonbury Festival and We Out Here, taking the same song-led format to outdoor festival stages at Glastonbury and Wimborne St Giles.
