YOB in Brooklyn

YOB is an American doom-metal trio formed in Eugene, Oregon, in 1996 by guitarist and vocalist Mike Scheidt. The band is known for long-form, heavy compositions on albums including The Unreal Never Lived, Clearing the Path to Ascend and Our Raw Heart, while “Marrow” became a central song in its catalogue. In 2012, YOB supported Tool on selected North American dates, then performed The Unreal Never Lived in full at Roadburn Festival; the concert was later issued as a live recording. The group presents this material as a three-piece, led by Scheidt’s guitar and vocals and completed by bass and drums. YOB has also performed at Psycho Las Vegas and Hellfest.
