Artist
Yoshiko Hanzaki is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Sapporo whose music draws on J-pop and kayōkyoku. She made her major-label debut with the 2017 mini-album Utaben, which includes “O-bentōbako no Uta: Anata e no Otegami,” a song featured on NHK’s Minna no Uta. Her repertoire also includes “Sakura: Sotsugyō Dekinakatta Kimi e.” For 17 years before that debut, Hanzaki developed her live following through free performances at shopping malls around Japan. She then took the Utaben concert series to Nakano Sunplaza in Tokyo for its 2017 finale.
