2 minutos in San Miguel

2 Minutos are an Argentine punk-rock band formed in 1987 in Valentín Alsina, part of Greater Buenos Aires. Their debut album, Valentín Alsina, introduced songs including “Ya no sos igual,” while “Amor suicida” and “Piñas van, piñas vienen” became further staples of their catalogue. A 1995 US tour included a performance at CBGB in New York. The following year, the band opened for the Ramones at River Plate Stadium during the Ramones’ farewell visit to Argentina. Far beyond the neighborhood where the band formed, 2 Minutos have performed in Mexico City and Santiago.
