About Active Member
Active Member are a Greek hip-hop group formed in Perama in 1992 by B.D. Foxmoor and DJ MCD. They coined the term “low bap” for their measured, atmospheric approach to rap, heard on records including To Megalo Kolpo and Mythoi tou Valtou. Their best-known songs include “Fysaei Kontra” and “Akou Mana.”
Active Member helped establish the Low Bap Festival in Perama as a recurring gathering for the scene around their music. In 2015, the group billed a concert as its final performance, but later resumed appearing together after that farewell at Piraeus 117 Academy.
