About Ahmed Fakroun
Ahmed Fakroun is a Libyan singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Benghazi. His music sets Arabic melodies and vocals against funk, disco and electronic pop, and he is known for the album Mots d’Amour and songs including “Soleil Soleil” and “Nisyan.”
Ahmed Fakroun performed at Le Guess Who? in Utrecht as renewed interest in his earlier recordings brought him back to European stages. In 2022, he presented that catalogue in a club setting at The Jazz Cafe in London.
