About Alan Silvestri
Alan Silvestri is an American composer and conductor, born in 1950, whose orchestral film scores include Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Predator and The Avengers. His long collaboration with director Robert Zemeckis began with Romancing the Stone and also produced the music for Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Cast Away and The Polar Express.
Back to the Future in Concert premiered at the Royal Albert Hall in 2015, pairing the complete film with an orchestra performing his score live. Silvestri composed additional music for that concert presentation, expanding the score while retaining its central Back to the Future themes.
